Information about increased fees in the association
In order to finance the completed tribe change, the association took out new loans of SEK 60 million. Due to a significant increase in the market interest rate, the interest costs of these loans have increased. In addition, we have seen cost increases for district heating, property maintenance and other fixed expenses due to inflation.
These increased costs, primarily interest and amortization, now constitute a large part of the association's expenses. In order to achieve a balance between income and expenses, the board has decided to increase the fee by 10% from January 1, 2024. This increase is expected to provide a necessary balance in the 2024 budget.
For the tenants, the fee increase will, as usual, be determined after negotiations with the Tenants' Association in 2024.
New electricity agreement in 2024
A further change in January 2024 is that our fixed electricity contract, which previously offered favorable prices, must be renegotiated. The exact new price is yet to be determined, but we expect an increase compared to last years prices. This means that the cost of electricity consumption added to the monthly notice will increase.
The board works actively to reduce costs, among other things by renegotiating agreements and exposing bank interest rates to competition. We encourage members to contribute by taking care of the property to avoid unnecessary repairs. Feel free to join the board or one of the association's working groups!
If you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact the board.
