Trunk change - Port 27 soon finished
The board wants to inform about the first part of the trunk change project now that we are approaching the end of the work in port 27. As expected, it is an intensive and for us residents demanding project to participate in. on the road. Through a solution-oriented approach and recurring dialogue between the board, project manager, the contractor Nordic Plumbing as well as all residents, we solve most problems.
It makes it easier if you try to prepare as best you can both in terms of what choices you want to make in your bathroom and how you should practically handle the renovation period. Use the contact persons in the project to get answers to all questions that arise.
During the rest of the project, there will be an opportunity to participate in stairwell meetings where the contractor will provide in-depth information and there is a chance to ask questions for future work. The invitation will be sent out to those affected before each project phase.
Useful things to think about before the optional meeting
- What furnishings (furniture, hooks, etc.) from the current bathroom do you want to preserve and reassemble (if possible)?
- Is it possible to set up the interior you want to save after the renovation? Some things may not fit due to lower ceilings.
- Exact location of the sink in relation to the toilet and other furnishings in the bathroom (possibly washing machine or cabinet). You may want space for a laundry basket or some other decor. It can be good to draw a simple drawing with dimensions for the sake of clarity.
- Sink is set as standard with an upper edge of 85 cm. If you have other needs, let us know.
- Door lining on the inside is painted chalk white, which can differ in color against the color of the door. Do you want the door linings to be painted or should they be left unpainted?
- Where the visible pipes are to be mounted. By default, they are pulled down from the ceiling. Is there a possibility of alternative drawing in your bathroom to get more hidden drawing?
- Is there a request for additional electrical contact in the bathroom? Where should they be placed?
- If you want an electric towel rail: Where should it be mounted?
- Choice of joint color on tiles (in addition to standard color: gray).
- Requests for the joint width must be clarified to the contractor.
- The placement of LED spotlights in the ceiling. Have a dialogue with the contractor about where they are placed so that there is even light flow throughout the bathroom.
- Hooks, shelves, storage furniture: What needs do you have in addition to what is offered in the standard.
- The roof will be lowered significantly due to new surface piping in the suspended ceiling. You should familiarize yourself with whether this affects the function of the bathroom (connection to air valve, possible extra windows).
Before the actual start of the renovation: Make sure you are prepared for what needs to be removed and covered for. You will receive information about which parts need to be prepared. Remove or cover sensitive items (paintings, electronics, etc.) from nearby rooms. You will have access to cover plastic. You can also use sheets that bind the dust better than plastic.
During the renovation, damage may occur to adjacent rooms or in the hall. It is unfortunate but remedied by the contractor. Have a clear dialogue with them and it will work out. There have been some discussions and remarks about the end result during and after the inspection. That it goes wrong is not good but it happens and must be handled in a good way.
The association is the client and is responsible for the main project and appointed the inspectors. Deviations that are discovered during the inspection and are deemed to be impermissible must be rectified by the contractor Nordisk VVS. You as a resident can contribute to this quality work by reporting things that you consider to be wrong or poorly done to the inspector. Feel free to make a list that describes your observations that you can leave to the inspector and mark with tape in the bathroom. Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Has everything ordered been delivered and assembled (all furnishings, handles, etc.)?
- Does everything work in the bathroom?
- Are there broken tiles or different distances in depth between tiles or is there no joint?
- Does the light button hide holes in the tiles?
- Any painted surfaces that you are not happy with?
- Has there been any damage to the apartment that has not been repaired (wall, door, floor, etc.)?
From HSB, the association has hired Tommie Furugård as project manager for the work on the project. In the spring, Jerry Kristoffersson will replace some. He will be contacted by e-mail as below.

Finally, we on the board want to convey that we generally feel that this project is progressing according to plan and we have high hopes that the end result will be good. We appreciate any help we can get in getting reports on problems you are experiencing but also suggestions on how to make things even better. We also welcome if there are committed residents who would like to participate in the tribal change group more actively. As the project continues, we will also begin to see how to freshen up and renovate public areas such as elevator halls and entrances. Here we will need help to make good choices with colors and materials.
With the desire for a good end result
