Write a headline that briefly and clearly describes what the case is about.

Write what the case is about. Begin by writing a background to your exercise, e.g.

  • the reason why you are writing the exercise
  • the problem
  • what benefits can be achieved
  • concrete examples that make it easier to get acquainted with the exercise

Write any questions in the motion regarding what you are exercising about, directly addressed to the board.

  • The questions should be easily arranged in a bulleted list.
  • The questions must be numbered.
  • They must clearly show that these are questions.
  • It must be clear that you want concrete answers from the board to your questions.

End the motion by proposing a resolution that you think the AGM should take. Give alternative suggestions. If the first proposal is rejected, you may have an alternative that is almost as good, which the meeting may approve instead.

Think about what arguments the board may use to have the motion rejected. Prepare yourself by covering these arguments with your weighty counter-arguments already in the exercise.

Feel free to add in the motion that if there are any questions, you would like the board to contact you.

Sign the document with your name and the date it was submitted.

Send or submit your motion in person to the board.
